Penn State fifth-year nose tackle Robert Windsor made Gil Brandt’s list:

Gil Brandt, the legendary talent evaluator who worked for the Dallas Cowboys for almost 30 years (1960-88). Brandt, who is still involved in football, contributes to NFL.com and was recently elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Gil’s top 5 senior defensive tackles for the 2020 NFL draft in Las Vegas:

1. Derrick Brown, @AuburnFootball
2. Rashard Lawrence, @LSUfootball
3. Javon Kinlaw, @GamecockFB
4. Raequan Williams, @MSU_Football
5. Robert Windsor, @psufootball

It’s an impressive list of names and Windsor, as you can see, ranks No. 5. It’s worth nothing that Michigan State defensive tackle Raequan Williams checks in at No. 4.

Robert Windsor 6’4” 285 has been part of Penn State defensive line coach Sean Spencer’s tackle rotation since the 2016 season. His 2018 season was clearly his best as Windsor notched 39 tackles in 12 games. He posted 11.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, three additional quarterback hits and two forced fumbles.

Windsor’s 7.5 sacks were a half-sack behind Gross-Matos’ total and it equaled the number by Penn State defensive end Shareef Miller, a recent fourth-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Windsor  is from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin,  His best game occurred in the Lions’ 22-10 win over the Badgers at Beaver Stadium. Windsor racked up six tackles and two tackles for loss, earning Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Windsor is also aware of the Gil Brandt tweet. You can check out his reply below:

This is great but I promise I won’t be at the bottom of this list by the end of the season
