Carly Paulson (Sr Year) @ Marian University Women’s Tennis named All-Conference for singles by the NACC

Senior Carly Paulson of Marian University women’s tennis has been named all-conference for singles by the NACC.

Carly Paulson (Fond du Lac, Wis.) played at the top flight for the Sabres all season going 6-3 on the year with a 5-3 NACC mark.  After dropping her first two matches of the season, Carly was able to finish the season 6-1 with four of her victories only taking two sets.  Her most impressive victory came at Alverno where she only dropped one game earning a 6-1, 6-0 victory.  She also had a 6-0, 6-4 victory against MSOE in the match prior.  Carly Paulson currently sits in 20th for all-time wins with 42 heading into the spring season. This is the first all-conference award for Paulson.

Carly’s Bio

2021-22: Went 7-8 at the top flight of singles action earning a 6-2 record in NACC matches.  Also posted a 5-9 record at the top flight of doubles action with a 3-5 conference ledger.

2021: Was an even 3-3 at the No. 2 flight for singles action with a 3-2 mark in NACC matches.  Went 4-3 at the No. 1 doubles flight on the year with a 4-2 record in NACC play.

2019-20: Went 7-5 at the No. 4 flight in singles action during her first season at Marian.  WAs an even 6-6 at the No. 2 doubles flight

Carly Paulson & Karina Pokorny close out perfect singles weekend

Marian University women’s tennis (5-9, 3-6 NACC) closed out the fall portion of the season falling to St. Norbert 7-2.

After dropping all three doubles matches, seniors Carly Paulson and Katrina Pokorny were able to come out victorious in singles action once again.  Paulson took the top flight with a pair of 6-3 victories, while Pokorny earned a No. 4 win with two 6-4 victories. 

For Pokorny, she improved to 7-2 at No. 4 singles on the season winning her fourth match-up in a row.  Carly Paulson won her second singles match-up in a row and improved to 6-3 at No. 1 Singles.
