Robert Windsor was a sixth-round pick of the Indianapolis Colts in 2020 and played in two games. He battled injuries in his short NFL career. Robert retired from football last April. He acknowledged that two “major” surgeries, one on his hip and one on his groin, were his reasons for stepping away.

Defensive lineman Robert Windsor announced his retirement from the NFL in April 2022, but he returned to football soon after and was drafted by the Vipers in the third round of the XFL Draft.

Defensive lineman Robert Windsor makes his football return after retiring in 2022. Drafted by the Colts in the 2020 sixth round, Windsor labored through injuries and surgeries that cost him the 2021 season. But in December, Windsor told Penn State broadcaster Steve Jones that he wants to return to the NFL, with the XFL marking his first step.

Vegas Vipers – There’s less of a gap in the rankings between teams at this position than maybe any other; 1-7 are all very close, but there’s a pretty clear delineation between that and the eighth team, the Vipers. Perhaps the player with the most potential, Robert Windsor, once retired from the NFL due to injuries.
