My name is Dakota Hermes. I serve as an assistant football coach and teacher at Fond du Lac High School. Recently, Blaze, one of our players, has been diagnosed with cancer. Due to the nature of his cancer, he must do all of his treatments in Milwaukee. With this in mind, I thought it would be a great opportunity for us in the Fondy football community to show our support.
Blaze’s family will spend a large amount of money on medical expenses, travel, lodging, etc. as he takes on this fight.
For anyone who doesn’t know Blaze, I truly couldn’t think of a better kid. He is extremely respectful, is a beam of positivity to everyone in the room, works extremely hard, and does all of the little things right. He is an amazing, excellent young man who lifts up others daily, and now it’s time we pay it back to him.
If you have the means, please consider donating to help him and his family. If you don’t have the means, please share and spread the GoFundMe to help us rally around Blaze!
Wow!! I am blown away at the support!! We are already at 1,500 dollars! A quick update from
Blaze. He spent the weekend in Milwaukee’s children hospital getting tests ran on some blood work and to make sure the chemo port isn’t infected. He’s hoping to be discharged Monday. He’s a warrior in high spirits who said he was jacked to watch his teammates wrestle yesterday on the livestream and was celebrating all of their success.
