Jr. Kellie Hierl was selected to the  2017 Wisconsin High School Tennis Coaches Association Division 1 Second Team All-State Honors !

Kellie Hierl advanced to the round of 16 at the WIAA Division 1 girls state tennis tournament Thursday at Nielsen Tennis Stadium

Kellie beat Maddi Bremel of Madison West 6-2, 2-6, 10-5 in the first round

Kellie beat Lauren Monette of Pulaski 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 in the second round

Kellie will play Logan White of Divine Savior Holy Angels in her first match Friday at 10:30 am

OSHKOSH WEST SECTIONAL

GRAND CHUTE – Neenah rolled to the sectional championship by winning all four singles flights and two of the three doubles flights at Fox Cities Racquet Club on Thursday.

The Rockets finished with 54 points to advance to the WIAA state team tournament, which is Oct. 20-21 at Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison.

The top four finishers at No. 1 singles and doubles, and the top finisher at No. 2 singles and doubles at each sectional advance to the individual state tournament, which is Oct. 12-14 in Madison.

Neenah’s Kiki Risgaard took first place at No. 1 singles, beating Kimmy Steinert of Oshkosh West 6-3, 6-3 in the championship match. Oshkosh North’s Courtney Day was third to also advance to state.

Neenah’s Anna Beyer took first at No. 2 singles to advance to state. She beat Gabrielle Prehn of Oshkosh North 6-1, 6-2 in the finals.

Neenah’s No. 1 doubles team of Hannah Dorsey and Amanda Dorsey remained undefeated this year at 25-0 with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Erica Casper and Maggie Schiessl of Oshkosh West in the final.

Neenah’s Ava Asbury took first place at No. 3 singles with a 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 win over Ally Geitzel of Fond du Lac, while the Rockets’ Alex VanZeeland was first at No. 4 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Jamie Ayer of Fond du Lac.

Fox Valley Association Tournament

The Neenah girls tennis team won its sixth consecutive Fox Valley Association championship at the conference tournament Thursday. The Rockets took first place at three of the four singles flights, and won all three doubles flights. Neenah finished with 16 points in the final standings that combine the tournament finish with the regular-season dual meet finish. Oshkosh West was second and Fond du Lac third.

Ally Gietzel of Fond du Lac won the title at No. 3 singles.
