Football All-Conference
Fond du Lac senior Robert Windsor was named co-Defensive Player of the Year highlighting the Cardinal honorees on the all VFA South football teams announced by the conference recently.
Windsor was named the Defensive Lineman of the Year and then shared the conference’s top defensive honor with Stevens Point linebacker Noel Winch.
Two other Cardinals were recognized as the top players at their positions as senior Peter Andrew was named Offensive Lineman of the Year and senior Brian Luteyn was named Receiver of the Year in the conference.
All three players were also unanimous first-team all-conference selections along with senior lineman Aaron Wehner, junior running back Justin Maratik and senior linebacker Lucas Raube. Senior quarterback Jack Nejedlo and junior safety Jake Walgenbach rounded out the first-team selections for Fond du Lac.
A trio of Cardinals earned second-team honors in senior offensive lineman Wyatt Holzman, senior linebacker Jason Toshner and junior defensive lineman Tyler Miller.
Honorable mention honorees were senior offensive linemen Charlie Immel and Jace Laning, junior fullback Mark Dilling, junior defensive lineman Tanner Koenigs, senior linebacker Jacob Stadler, senior defensive back Matt Ryan and junior defensive back Ryan Collien.
