Fond du Lac falls in playoff to Oshkosh West

Division 1 Oshkosh North Regional: Fond du Lac fell in a playoff to Oshkosh West at a WIAA Division 1 regional tournament hosted by Oshkosh North at Westhaven Golf Course.

The Cardinals and Wildcats both shot 331 to tie for fourth place, but West won on the second playoff hole, 19-23, to take the fourth and final sectional qualifying spot.

Elliott Nielsen and Marcus Ruch both shot 81 to finish in a tie for 18th place. Jack DuChateau came in with an 84 and Michael Barbeau carded an 85.

Fond du Lac fifth at conference tourney

GREENLEAF – The Fond du Lac boys golf team finished fifth at Saturday’s Fox Valley Association golf meet played at Wander Springs Golf Course in Greenleaf.

The Cardinals finished with a team score of 339. Kaukauna won the tournament with a 317. Neenah, Kimberly and Appleton East finished second, third and fourth, respectively.

Marcus Ruch paced Fond du Lac on Saturday, shooting 84 to finish tied for 11th place. Elliott Nielsen, Jack Nejedlo and Michael Barbeau all shot 85. Jack DuChateau came in with a 90.

Kaukauna’s Mitchell Wittmann earned medalist honors, shooting 72. Neenah’s Sam Galloway was second with a 73.

Appleton East edges Fond du Lac

Appleton East 157, Fond du Lac 161: The Patriots edged the Cardinals in Fond du Lac’s final Fox Valley Association dual meet of the season, played at Reid Golf Course in Appleton.

Jack Nejedlo and Jack DuChateau both shot 39 to lead Fond du Lac, while Michael Barbeau carded a 41. Marcus Ruch shot a 42.

Appleton East’s Sam Kuklinski shot 38 to earn medalist honors. Fond du Lac finishes the conference dual meet season with a 7-2 record.

Nejedlo, Fond du Lac defeat Appleton North

Fond du Lac 157, Appleton North 192: The Cardinals earned a Fox Valley Association dual meet win over the Lightning at Rolling Meadows Golf Course.

Fond du Lac’s Jack Nejedlo took medalist honors, shooting 35.

Elliott Nielsen came in with a 40, while Marcus Ruch and Jack DuChateau both shot 41.

Fond du Lac takes 3rd at Neenah invite

Neenah invitational: The Fond du Lac boys golf team finished third at an invitational hosted by Neenah at Ridgeway Country Club Thursday afternoon.

The Cardinals shot 334 as a team to finish behind Neenah (311) and Kaukauna (321). Kimberly came in just behind Fond du Lac with a 336.

Jack Nejedlo led Fond du Lac on the day, shooting 80. Elliott Nielsen carded an 83, while Marcus Ruch came with an 85. Jack DuChateau shot 86.

Neenah’s Sam Galloway earned medalist honors with a 73.

Fond du Lac tops Oshkosh West

Fond du Lac 153, Oshkosh West 161: The Cardinals earned a Fox Valley Association dual meet win over the Wildcats at Lakeshore Municipal Golf Course in Oshkosh.

Fond du Lac’s Marcus Ruch earned medalist honors, shooting 33. Elliott Nielsen came in with a 39, while Michael Barbeau shot 40.

Jack Nejedlo carded a 41. Nick Baker led Oshkosh West with a 34.

Fond du Lac wins home invite

Fond du Lac Invite: The Fond du Lac boys golf team won its home invitational Saturday afternoon at Rolling Meadows Golf Course.

Playing 18 holes, the Cardinals finished with a team score of 326, well ahead of second-place finisher Appleton West’s 344. Hartland Arrowhead was third with a 359.

Fond du Lac’s Elliott Nielsen earned medalist honors, shooting 76. Appleton West’s Ryan Miller was second with a 79.

Fond du Lac’s Michael Barbeau finished in a tie for third place, carding an 80. Jack Nejedlo shot an 84 and Jack DuChateau came in with an 86.

Fondy falls to Neenah

Neenah 163, Fond du Lac 173: The Cardinals fell to the Rockets in a Fox Valley Association dual meet played at Ridgeway Country Club in Neenah.

Elliott Nielsen led the Cardinals, shooting 38. Jack Nejedlo and Michael Barbeau both shot 44, while Jack DuChateau carded a 47.

Neenah’s Sam Galloway shot 37 to earn medalist honors.

Fondy 10th at Menomonee Falls

Brookfield Central invite: The Fond du Lac boys golf team finished 10th at a 25-team invitational hosted by Brookfield Central in Menomonee Falls.

The Cardinals shot 341 as a team. Arrowhead won the invite with a 311.

Marcus Ruch and Elliott Nielsen both shot 83 to pace Fond du Lac. Jack Nejedlo carded a 87 and Michael Barbeau came with an 88.

Fondy crushes Appleton West  157  –  178

The Cardinals earned a strong Fox Valley Association dual meet victory over the Terrors at Rolling Meadows Golf Course.

Elliott Nielsen earned medalist honors, shooting 36 for Fond du Lac. Marcus Ruch was just behind him with a 39.

Jack Nejedlo carded a 40 and Jack DuChateau shot 42. The win moves the Cardinals to 3-0 in FVA play.

Fond du Lac edges Kimberly

Fond du Lac 162, Kimberly 167: The Cardinals earned a Fox Valley Association dual meet win against the Papermakers at Countryside Golf Course.

Marcus Ruch shot 39 to take co-medalist honors, while Jack Nejedlo carded a 40. Jack DuChateau shot 41 and Elliott Nielsen came in with a 42.

Fondy finishes 9th at Whistling Straits

SHEBOYGAN – The Fond du Lac boys golf team participated in the 24-team Sheboygan North Invitational at The Irish Course at Whistling Straights Wednesday, finishing ninth.

The Cardinals shot a team score of 363. Notre Dame won the invite with a 324, followed by Middleton (334) and Kaukauna (339).

Marcus Ruch led Fondy with an 85, firing a 41 on the front and a 44 on the back. Elliot Nielsen added an 87 for Fondy and Jack Nejedlo chipped in a 93. Manitowoc’s Sam Galloway was medalist with a 75.
