The Cardinals’ rally came up just short as they fell to the Papermakers in Fox Valley Association play.
Trailing 11-4 heading to the seventh inning, Fond du Lac scored six runs to make things interesting.
Kellie Hierl was 4-for-4 with two doubles to lead the Cardinals, while Kali Smit was 3-for-5 with a grand slam.
Abby Freismuth took the loss in the circle for Fond du Lac.
