NEENAH – The Fond du Lac boys swimming team finished in eighth place at a WIAA Division 1 sectional meet hosted by Neenah on Saturday afternoon.

The Cardinals scored 155 points as a team. Bay Port won the sectional title with 369 points.

Fond du Lac’s Cannon Lock finished in fourth place in the 100-yard butterfly (56.22 seconds) to pace the Cardinals, while Ben Stoffel-Murray was fifth in both the 100-yard backstroke (58.32) and 200-yard individual medley (2:06.33).

The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Abe Stoffel-Murray, Andrew Park, Lock and Ben Stoffel-Murray finished fifth (3:26.87), while 200-yard medley relay featuring the same swimmers was sixth (1:47.64).

Park took seventh in the 500-yard freestyle (5:13.37) and Lock was seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.91).

No Fond du Lac swimmers automatically qualified for the WIAA Division 1 state meet.
