Fond du Lac rallies past Monona Grove 3 – 2

The Cardinals scored two goals in the third period to earn a comeback victory over Monona Grove in nonconference play, their first win of the season.

Trailing 2-1 entering the third, Fond du Lac’s James Riehl evened up the game at 2-2 with a goal at 5:46. Kolton Sabel then gave the Cardinals the win, scoring with under a minute left in regulation.

Henry Lange also had a goal and assist for Fond du Lac, while Max Erstad, Zach Wilson and Ryan Sabel had assists as well.

TJ Draves made 14 saves in goal.
