MILWAUKEE – The Fond du Lac boys track and field team finished in second place at the Marquette Invitational, hosted by Milwaukee Marquette at Quad Park.
The Cardinals scored 98 points as a unit, coming in behind meet winner Green Bay Preble (115.5).
Fond du Lac’s Kyle Marcoe was first in the 400-meter dash (50.73 seconds), while Noah Tagliapietra won the 800-meter run (1:59.97) and 1,000-meter run (2:35.57).
Andrew Stone was victorious in the shot put (58-00.00) and discus throw (160-01).
The 4X400-meter relay team of Trey Halfmann, Zach Schmit, Luke Curran and Marcoe was second (3:29.99).
Devon Krzanowski took third in the discus (151-03).
Trey Halfmann was fourth in the 100-meter dash, the 4X200-meter relay was fourth and Donte Johnson was fourth in the shot put.
