Overview of present day construction  

Good Afternoon Fond du Lac School District Families,

On April 14, 2023 our District held a groundbreaking ceremony to create a new athletic stadium on the campus of Fond du Lac High School. We have the opportunity for additional enhancements to take the project to the next level. Our goal is to raise an additional $280,000 to fund the enhancements. Thus far, we have raised $58,000 toward that goal. Below are the enhancements and the costs.

  • LED Lights (Cost is $137,000) – We have the opportunity to improve our lighting and upgrade to LED to have the best lighting display for all of our multi-purpose uses. LED lights are more energy efficient and have a longer service life. The LED upgrade offsets future maintenance costs to our current aging lighting system.

  • RGB Upgrade (Cost is $61,000) – Our community partner, Wisconsin Lighting Lab, is assisting with a large in-kind donation to enhance the experience for all users with RGB. Please see this link for a demonstration of RGB lights on display.

  • Track Surface Upgrade (Cost is $29,000) – A surface upgrade from an LR6 (⅜”) to LR8 (½”) would be softer to run on and improve training. This enhancement would increase the surface from six coats to eight coats or an eighth of an inch.

  • South Walkway (Cost is $18,000) – This walkway enhancement creates an asphalt walkway around the stadium to the south which improves access for visitors and guests.

  • Landscaping/North Walkway (Cost is $36,000) – The north walkway provides pedestrian access from the parking lot to the ticket booth. Additionally, this enhancement improves the landscaping on the east side to create a visually appealing view.

While donations are welcomed throughout the construction, we have some decisions to make by May 31, 2023. We ask for donations by May 31, 2023, so plans can be finalized for our opening events.
