Milwaukee Washington Co-op (4-5) at Fond du Lac (7-2): The Cardinals have a good matchup for their playoff opener, although Milwaukee Washington does enter the postseason off of back-to-back wins.

Of course, the Cardinals can certainly top that. After a 1-2 start, Fond du Lac has rattled off six straight victories and can make it seven with another solid outing at Fruth Field

When Milwaukee Washington wins, it does it with offense. In its four victories, Washington averages nearly 47 points per game, while scoring just a total of 42 points in its five losses. The Cardinals have given up some points this year at times, but over the last four weeks – including two wins over playoff teams – have allowed just 12 points per game.

Quarterback Jack Cole has led the Cardinal offense, which features running backs Keon Jefferson and Colton Wasielieski and has seen their offensive line emerge into a dominant force.

The key for the Cardinals on Friday will be to play a clean game, staying away from turnovers, while not allowing the big play. If it does that, Fond du Lac should be looking at a Level 1 playoff win for the 13th time in 15 WIAA postseason appearances.
