Fond du Lac girls track team third at Fox Valley Association Meet

The Fond du Lac girls finished third with 80 points. Kimberly took first with 169 and Appleton North was second.

Annie Moore finished first in the 1,600-meter run and was second in the 800-meter run.

Ally Gietzel was third in the 400-meter dash and Nicole Gietzel finished third in both the long jump and triple jump.

The 4X800 – Ally Gietzel, Megan Buechel, Jeannie Bestor, Anne Moore placed third.

 

Fondy boys and girls win at Hortonville

FVA Triangular: Both the Fond du Lac boys and girls track and field teams took first place at a Fox Valley Association triangular hosted by Hortonville.

The Cardinal boys finished with a team score of 108 points, well ahead of Hortonville’s 44 points.

Austin McCrory (100-meter dash, 200-meter dash), Eddie Negron (400-meter dash), Bryton Koepke (3,200-meter run), Brian Luteyn (110-meter hurdles), Said Mahamed (300-meter hurdles), Jason Toshner (discus throw), Kyle Pierce (long jump, triple jump) and all four relay teams earned victories for Fond du Lac.

In the girls meet, Fond du Lac finished with 70 team points, edging out Hortonville’s 65.

Nicole Lord (200-meter dash), Annie Moore (800-meter run), Katie Retzlaff (100-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles), Carisma Anderson (shot put, discus throw), Ally Gietzel (long jump) and the 4X100-meter relay picked up wins.

 

Fond du Lac girls 8th at Arrowhead

Fond du Lac took eighth place with 44 points. Arrowhead won the girls meet with 97 points.

Annie Moore paced the Cardinals with a second-place finish in the 1,600-meter run and third-place finish in the 800-meter run. Ally Gietzel was third in the 400-meter dash.

Carisma Anderson finished third in the shot put and fourth in the discus throw.

Katie Retzlaff was sixth in the 100-meter hurdles, Nicole Lord took sixth in the long jump and Nicole Gietzel finished sixth in the triple jump.

 

Fondy girls take 2nd at Oshkosh West

Fox Valley Association girls quad: The Fond du Lac girls cross country team finished second at a Fox Valley Association quad hosted by Oshkosh West.

The Cardinals finished with 69.5 points. Neenah won the meet with 97.5 points.

Carisma Anderson took first in both the shot put and discus throw to pace the Cards, while Nicole Gietzel was first in the triple jump.

Annie Moore (400-meter dash), Ally Gietzel (800-meter run), Savannah Raddatz (high jump) and Sloan Schmitz (pole vault) took second for the Cardinals.

The 4X100-meter relay, 4X200-meter relay and 4X400-meter relay all finished second as well.

 

Fondy girls 2nd at home quad

The Fond du Lac girls track and field team tied for second place at its home quad on Tuesday night, finishing with 60 points. The Cardinals tied with Oshkosh West for second, while Kimberly took first with 111.5 points.

Annie Moore led Fond du Lac with a first-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:04.90. Meanwhile, Nicole Gietzel was first in the triple jump with a leap of 34-01.00.

The 4X400-meter relay team of Gietzel, Nicole Lord, Jeannie Bestor and Moore also took first with a time of 4:20.57.

Bestor was second in the 400, while the 4X100-meter relay team of Morgan Endries, Lord, Emily Ziegler and Gietzel was also second.

Fondy girls win home triangular

Fond du Lac Triangular: The Cardinal boys posted a win, while girls tied for the top spot in the FVA triangular.

Annie Moore posted a pair of wins for the girls, finishing first in both the 400 and 800 meters, as did Carisma Anderson, who placed first in the shot put and discus.

Emily Miller (triple jump), Shannon Doyle (high jump) and Sloan Schmitz (pole vault) also picked up wins, as did the Cardinals’ 400-meter and 1,600-meter relay teams.

Annie Moore shines at WTFA Indoors

WHITEWATER – Fond du Lac’s Annie Moore showed she can compete with just about anyone in the state when it comes to track and field.

Moore placed highly in multiple events Saturday afternoon at the presigious Wisconsin Track and Field Association State Indoor Championships, hosted by UW-Whitewater.

Moore finished fifth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:22.39 and fifth in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:16.53.

Fond du Lac’s Ally Gietzel took 18th in the 400-meter dash, Carisma Anderson was 12th in the shot put and the Cardinals’ 4X400-meter relay finished 14th. Emily Miller was 27th in the triple jump. Nicole Gietzel was 37th in the long jump.

Fondy girls track finishes 10th at UWO

The Fond du Lac girls track and field team competed in the annual UW-Oshkosh Large School Indoor Invitational Monday night and finished 10th out of 21 teams.

De Pere won the girls meet with 77 points, followed by Kimberly (60) and Waukesha West (58). Fondy finished with 18 points.

Ally Gietzel finished second in the 400-meters with a time of 1 minute, 2.77 seconds, while the 3,200 relay team finished second as well with a time of 9:75.82.

Jeannie Bestor and Emily Miller added eighth place finishes for the Cardinals. Bestor took eighth in the 800 (2:32.51) and Miller in the triple jump (32-01.50). The 1,600 relay team finished ninth after running a time of 4:30.51.

Fondy 9th at UWSP

STEVENS POINT – The Fond du Lac girls track and field team finished ninth overall at Friday’s Point Invitational, hosted at UW-Stevens Point.

The Cardinals finished with a team score of 22 points. Kimberly won the meet with 97 points.

The Fond du Lac 4X800-meter relay team of Jeannie Bestor, Megan Buechel, Ally Gietzel and Annie Moore took third place with a time of 10 minutes, 14.60 seconds.

Annie Moore was third in the 1600-meter run (5:31.01) and fifth in the 800-meter run.
